HHP's Theatre Imprints are designed to offer indie theatre to specific groups or for special purposes.
Millennial Stageworks are special theatrical productions that cater to the audience of African American youth and young adults, ages 18-25. The productions are designed to address social and cultural issues that individuals of this generation face while grooming them to be the next generation to carry on this rich artistic legacy. The most unique aspect of this imprint is that the stage plays will be written by individuals who are also members of the millennial generation.
The Legacy Series presents obscure, under produced works from well-known and little known Black playwrights. The goal is to offer these works an opportunity for exposure among a budding theatre audience as well as educate them about the rich history of Black theatre. Look for this series to launch in November 2014. More details coming soon!
